Is it really possible to develop an easy golf swing? Of course it is! You just have to work at it a bit and learn the techniques that professionals and low handicap golfers know. One of these secrets is the key to developing power in your swing. Power comes from the coiling of the upper body over the firm base of the legs. And the key to this firm base lies in your feet. Many golfers have a tendency to bring up their left heel (if they are right-handed) on their backswing. Conversely, they keep their right heel firm on the ground as they hit. This is the opposite of what pros do. It may feel unnatural at first to reverse what you are currently doing, but this is important to improving your power.
