Learn about Food disposal Bio Bags

Bio bags are newly introduced polymer bags to replace the traditional polythene bags for kitchen waste disposal. The polymer is biodegradable and compostable and is a healthier and eco friendly option when compared to polythene waste disposal bags. They are sturdy bags and can hold food scraps and kitchen waste without breaking or leaking. The bags come in sizes up to 3 gallons. Bio bags are multipurpose kitchen bags. They can be used for kitchen waste disposal and for food storage. Vegetables and fruits stored in Bio bags in the freezer remain fresh longer. The bags disintegrate easily and since they are made of a vegetable based polymer they are also compostable. They are shelf stable and will not disintegrate indoors. Bio bags disintegrate only when they come in contact with the soil. The microorganisms in the soil start the process of slowly disintegrating the vegetable polymer. Bio bags come in sizes that fit all sizes of kitchen waste cans. However bio bags must be used within four months of purchase and they are not as durable as polythene. They are not heat resistant and hot food or liquid must not be put into the bag.  Bio bags are an eco friendly alternative to polythene kitchen waste disposal bags. In an increasingly green focused world bio bags help to make food disposal healthy. Since the bags are compostable they can be placed directly into a compost pin and the bag and its contents will become compost in thirty to sixty days.   Bio bags are costlier than polythene garbage disposal bags. With the increasing number of manufacturers of these bags the competition has lowered the cost of the bag. Retailers give many special offers and discounts which bring the price of the bags down. Bio bags are a healthy and green method of disposing kitchen garbage.
